Well most people think that people who collect email contacts or Phone numbers might be crazy.
What value is there in an Email?
Why collect people' emails?
The value of each email in your list is approximately a dollar.
Then if you have 1000 value email addresses you probably are sitting with 1000 dollars in your database.
According to a 2013 study by Custora, customer acquisition from email has quadrupled in the last four years, and customers which visit a business as a result of an email marketing campaign tend to have a higher lifetime value than customers coming from Facebook or Twitter
The main purpose of collecting emails if for future contacts-
Build a relationship ,provide value and value.
Customers are looking for solutions.
If you are a man and you are meeting a girl for the first time,what could be your mission?
The wise men ,would impress enough in order to arrange for a second date-
Not too much to bore or irritate the girl.No information overload.
So why are businesses today collecting email contacts?
The answer is-to prove that they have a solution needed ,to prove that the product is what is needed to solve my problem.
You provide value first before you sell anything,
After someone says yes-
Then you provide value , a solution to the problem .It might not be the full solution.
